The health sector in rural areas, particularly in Kaltungo Local Government Area, faces numerous challenges that hinder effective financial management and transparency. Health facilities in these regions often operate under resource constraints, making it difficult to ensure proper financial controls and accountability. Auditing plays a critical role in identifying inefficiencies, misappropriations, and financial mismanagement in such facilities. However, conducting audits in rural health facilities presents unique challenges, including limited access to records, lack of qualified auditing personnel, and inadequate infrastructure.
